I’m having trouble justifying $230 for it though.

I have the tan Sopwith Camel and the “Red Baron” Fokker Dr.1.

Legos were already expensive when I was growing up. Now they’re just cruel.

If you have a large collection it’s pretty fun trying to approximate the expensive sets.

I’m starting to run out of space.

Seriously. It’s not hard to drop a hundo on a reasonable set. My addiction is the Star Wars sets. Which is only going to get worse.

I had all the Pirate sets from the mid 90s and then all the Castle sets in the late 90s. Why the fuck did I get rid of any of them.

Unfortunately I’m not where they are. (and I somehow forgot the Wright Flyer that’s sitting between them)

I have it. All you need to know is that the stick makes things move. It’s pretty great.

I’m trying to convince my wife that our son “needs” it. He’s a month old. It’s not working.

I have it. It was a fun build. The empennage is all busted up right now, and I have to dig out the directions to repair it (it was either a hard landing, or my 9-year-old was playing with it). I think mine was only about $100, but that was back when they were still producing it. I should really get into the Lego speculation business. Buy the big sets, sit on them until they’re out of production, sell them for twice their original worth. Trouble is, I’d just end up building them.

I keep threatening to buy it for my son but my wife keeps laying down the veto. Course he’s 3 months old so... she sees through my bs.

Doooo iiiittttt. Build it and hang it from his ceiling. Every boy’s room needs a model plane hanging from the ceiling.

He’s already got a couple so far. His room is airplane themed too.
This is one the wall adjacent to his crib.

Then seriously, the Sopwith Lego is a no-brainer.
